Celtic Dancer Wins QTC Cup

Multiple Gr1-winning Coolmore shuttler & former star Australian sprinter Choisir (Danehill Dancer-Great Selection, by Lunchtime) added a group success when 4YO gelding Celtic Dancer (Choisir-Little Wonder Why, by Kala Dancer) scored a 1.25-lengths victory in the $175,000 Gr2 QTC Cup (1300m) at Eagle Farm. Celtic Dancer (ridden by Timothy Bell for trainer Noel Doyle) defeated 6YO geldings Belltone (Brahms-Belle Salieri, by Salieri) & Joint Chiefs (General Nediym-Red Slippers, by Citidancer). Celtic Dancer (a $40,000 yearling consigned by Klemley Park at the 2009 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale) took his record to 7 wins (also including May's Listed Prime Minister's Cup over 1300m at the Gold Coast) & 6 placings (including 2011's Gr3 Gold Coast Guineas over 1200m at the Gold Coast & Listed Brisbane Racing Club Queensland Day over 1350m at Doomben) from 26 starts for $494,850 earnings.
