Strong Return Wins Japan Gr1 Yasuda Kinen

In Japan yesterday, US-bred 6YO entire Strong Return (Symboli Kris S-Caught Out, by Smart Strike) scored by a neck in the ¥208m (A$2.646m) Gr1 Yasuda Kinen (1600m) at Tokyo to improve on last year's runner-up effort in this same race. Strong return (ridden by Yuichi Fukunaga for trainer Noriyuki Hori) defeated 4YO entire Grand Prix Boss (Sakura Bakushin O-Rosy Mist, by Sunday Silence) & 5YO entire Cosmo Sensor (King Kamehameha-Keiai Ballade, by Rivlia). Strong Return took his record to 7 wins (also including 2011's Gr2 Keio Hai Spring Cup over 1400m at Tokyo,) & 7 placings (including 2011's Gr1 Yasuda Kinen over 1600m at Tokyo, plus 2009's Listed Radio Nikkei Sho over 1800m at Fukushima) from 19 starts for ¥310.995m (A$3.956m) earnings.
