Black Caviar Final Gallop Before Flight To UK

Tuesday, 5th June 2012

Unbeaten Australian 5YO mare Black Caviar (Bel Esprit-Helsinge, by Desert Sun) had her final gallop on a rain-soaked track at Caulfield in Melbourne yesterday morning, before flying out for next month's date-with-destiny in the Gr1 Golden Jubilee Stakes (6 furlongs) at the Royal Ascot Carnival in England. Jockey Luke Nolen told Sky Sports Radio: "She worked nicely over 1000m & she did the last 600m quite stylishly under testing conditions. . . . . She is pretty close to the mark definitely & that was where Peter (Moody, trainer) wanted her before she got onto the plane."
