King Cugat Adds US Black-Type

In The US, former Widden Stud shuttler & now South Australian Rivers End Stud-based stallion King Cugat (Kingmambo-Tricky Game, by Majestic Light) added a black-type success when front-running gelded son King Kreesa (King Cugat-Storm's Advance, by Storm Creek) raced away for a 5-lengths victory in the US$75,000 Listed Spectacular Bid Stakes (8 furlongs) for 3YOs at Belmont Park in New York. King Kreesa (ridden by Irad Ortiz for trainer Jeremiah Englehart) defeated fellow gelding Western Tryst (Western Expression-Pride Of Trieste, by Old Trieste) & the colt Wild Exploit (Wild Desert-Exploited Kris, by Exploit). King Kreesa took his record to 2 wins & a runner-up from 4 starts for US$77,620 earnings.
