US 2011 Champion Older Male & now 6YO entire Acclamation (Unusual Heat-Winning In Style, by Silveyville) returned from an 8.5-months spell to score a 1-length victory in the US$250,000 Gr1 Charles Whittingham Memorial Handicap (10 furlongs on turf) at Hollywood Park in California & claim this race for the 3rd successive year. Front-running favourite Acclamation (ridden by Patrick Valenzuela for trainer Donald Warren) defeated UK-bred 4YO gelding Slim Shadey (Val Royal-Vino Veritas, by Chief's Crown) & 5YO entire Utopian (Rock Hard Ten-Storm Alert, by Storm Cat).
