Former NZ Windsor Park shuttler Black Minnaloushe (Storm Cat-Coral Dance, by Green Dancer) also added South African black-type success when his colt Black Toga (Black Minnaloushe-Bridget's Academy, by Royal Academy) scored a 1.75-length victory in the R110,000 (A$14,000) Listed Rising Sun Gatecrasher Stakes (1450m) for 2YOs at Clairwood. Black Toga (ridden by Anton Marcus for trainer Vaughan Marshall) defeated Australian-bred colt Lionize (Not A Single Doubt-Arthurs Lass, by Camp Arthur) & fellow colt Albert (Albert Hall-Tempter, by Southern Halo). Black Toga took his record to 2 wins & a placing from 3 starts.
