Tuesday, 12th June 2012

Deceased dual Gr1-winning former Widden Stud stallion General Nediym (Nediym-Military Belle, by Without Fear) added a juvenile black-type success when daughter Hoss Amor (General Nediym-With Love, by Favorite Trick) scored a 2.25-lengths victory in the $100,000 Listed Lancaster Stakes (1200m) for 2YO fillies at Eagle Farm. Hoss Amor (ridden by Jim Cassidy for trainer John O'Shea) defeated Sunset Affair (Exceed And Excel-Tuscan Sky, by Gulch) & Saturn Rock (Fastnet Rock-Satin Robes, by Ne Coupez Pas). Hoss Amor (a $100,000 yearling consigned by Three Bridges Thoroughbreds at the 2011 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale) took her record to 2 wins & 2 runners-up (in both May's Listed The Phoenix over 1350m at Doomben & Listed Hampden Stakes over 1200m at Doomben) from 5 starts for $299,100 earnings.
