Tuesday, 12th June 2012

Triple European Gr1-winning Coolmore shuttler Oratorio (Danehill-Mahrah, by Vaguely Noble) added an Italian black-type success when front-running Irish-bred colt Silent Killer (Oratorio-Pinky Mouse, by Machiavellian) scored a 2.25-lengths victory in the €34,200 (A$44,000) Listed Premio D'Estate (1600m) for 3YOs at San Siro. Silent Killer (ridden by Fabio Branca for trainer Stefano Botti) defeated fellow colts Fundao (Blue Canari-Farinha, by Wolfhound) & UK-bred Saint Bernard (Three Valleys-Savignano, by Polish Precedent). Silent Killer took his record to 6 wins (also including May's Listed Premio Tullio Righetti over 1600m at the Capannelle) & 3 runners-up (including 2011's Listed Premio Giuseppe De Montel over 1500m at San Siro) from 12 starts for €81,872 (A$98,000) earnings.
