Wednesday, 13th June 2012

In South America, deceased former Eliza Park shuttler Val Royal (Royal Academy-Vadlava, by Bikala) added a Brazilian juvenile Gr1 triumph when daughter Bela Bisca (Val Royal-Maneirissima, by Fast Gold) scored a 3.5-lengths victory in the Gr1 Grande Premio Immensity (1600m on turf) for 2YO fillies at Cidade Jardim in Sao Paulo. Bela Bisca (ridden by Nelito Cinha for trainer Jose Luiz Aranha) defeated Uruguayan-bred Gaga A (TH Approval-Yin, by Quinze Quilates) & Star Magic (First American-Heart Of The Ocean, by Ocean Of Wisdom). Previously this year, Bela Bisca also won May's Gr2 Grande Premio Presidente Guilherme Ellis (1500m) at Cidade Jardim & finished runner-up in February's Listed Clasico Presidente Luiz Alves De Almeida (1000m) at Cidade Jardim.
