In Uruguay, Coolmore's dual Gr2-winning & Gr1-placed 8YO 2nd-crop stallion Strategic Prince (Dansili-Ausherra, by Diesis) "will stand the 2012 southern-hemisphere breeding season at the Haras Lacala after his South American rights were bought by Alberto & Renata Stein's Haras La Leyenda" reported racingpost.com. On the track as a 2YO, Strategic Prince (whose stakes-winning dam Ausherra is an own-sister to Gr1 English & Gr1 Irish Oaks winner Ramruma) won the UK Gr2 July Stakes & Gr2 Vintage Stakes, plus finishing 3rd in the Gr1 Dewhurst Stakes. His 1st European-bred 2YOs hit the track last year & included Irish Gr1 Phoenix Stakes winner La Collina (also placed in both Ireland's Gr1 Moyglare Stud Stakes & Gr3 Silver Flash Stakes) & UK Gr2 Mill Reef Stakes runner-up Redact. Strategic Prince stood the 2012 European season at Coolmore Stud in Ireland for €6,000 (A$7,700).
