Galileo Adds UK Black-Type
In the UK overnight, former Coolmore shuttler & Gr1 English Derby winner Galileo (Sadler's Wells-Urban Sea, by Miswaki) added a black-type success (& 3rd-placing) when front-running daughter Great Heavens (Galileo-Magnificient Style, by Silver Hawk) scored a 2.25-lengths victory in the £33,000 (A$53,000) Listed Lord Weinstock Memorial Stakes (10 furlongs) for 3YO fillies at Newbury. Great Heavens (ridden by William Buick for trainer John Gosden) defeated Miss Cato (Notnowcato-Regal Fairy, by Desert King) & Albamara (Galileo-Albanova, by Alzao). Great Heavens took her record to 2 wins from 3 starts.
