Valyra Wins Gr1 French Oaks

In France overnight, The Aga Khan's unbeaten UK home-bred Valyra (Azamour-Valima, by Linamix) came from the rear of the field to maintain her perfect record with a 0.75-length victory in the €1 million (A$1.28m) Gr1 Prix De Diane-French Oaks (2100m) for 3YO fillies at Chantilly. Valyra (ridden by Johnny Murtagh for trainer Jean-Claude Rouget) defeated favoured fellow UK-bred Beauty Parlour (Deep Impact-Bastet, by Giant's Causeway) & Irish-bred Rjwa (Muhtathir-Minallon, by Flag Down). Valyra now has 3 wins from 3 starts for €593,900 (A$760,000) earnings.
