Wednesday, 20th June 2012

Former Coolmore shuttler Danehill Dancer (Danehill-Mira Adonde, by Sharpen Up) added a UK black-type success when Irish-bred 4YO mare Set To Music (Danehill Dancer-Zarabaya, by Doyoun) scored a 3.75-lengths victory in the £33,000 (A$53,000) Listed Warwickshire Oaks (11 furlongs) for mares 4YO & up at Warwick. Set To Music (ridden by Jamie Spencer for trainer Michael Bell) defeated front-running fellow 4YO mare Dragonera (Doyen-Time Will Show, by Exit To Nowhere) & Irish-bred 7YO mare Mid Mon Lady (Danetime-Shining Desert, by Green Desert). Set To Music took her record to 5 wins (also including 2011's Listed Galtres Stakes over 12 furlongs at York) & 4 placings (including last start's Listed Pinnacle Stakes over 12 furlongs at Haydock on June 2 & 2011's Gr2 Park Hill Stakes over 14.5 furlongs at Doncaster) from 12 starts for £85,313 (A$137,000) earnings.
