Deceased dual Gr1-winning former Widden Stud stallion General Nediym (Nediym-Military Belle, by Without Fear) added a juvenile black-type success when favoured daughter Hoss Amor (General Nediym-With Love, by Favorite Trick) made it 3 wins & a runner-up from her last 4 starts with a 1.25-lengths victory against the males in the $100,000 Listed Centenary Classic Mercedes-Benz Stakes (1400m) for 2YOs at Eagle Farm. Hoss Amor (ridden by Chris Munce for trainer John O'Shea) defeated fellow filly Caliente (Sequalo-Avenel, by Scenic) & the colt Saluter (Commands-Rosekay Heart, by Show A Heart). Hoss Amor (a $100,000 yearling consigned by Three Bridges Thoroughbreds at the 2011 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale) took her record to 4 wins (also including last start's Listed Lancaster Stakes over 1200m at Eagle Farm on June 9 & May's Listed Hampden Stakes over 1200m at Doomben) & a runner-up (in May's Listed The Phoenix over 1350m at Doomben) from 6 starts for $364,600 earnings.
