Monday, 25th June 2012

Cambridge Stud's Australian-bred stallion Keeper (Danehill-Nuwirah, by Pleasant Colony) added a NZ black-type success (plus 3rd-placing) when 3YO filly Innovation (Keeper-Miss Grosvenor, by Grosvenor) scored a 1-length victory against older rivals in the NZ$50,000 weight-for-age Listed Tauranga Classic (1400m) for fillies & mares at Tauranga. Innovation (ridden by Jason Collett for trainer Ralph Manning) defeated favoured 4YO mare Rememba Howe (Handsome Ransom-Yachting Magic, by Yachtie) & 5YO mare Happyto Keepa (Keeper-My Happiness, by Kaapstad). Innovation took her record to 5 wins & a runner-up from 12 starts for NZ$67,275 earnings.
