Moody Plans For Caviar To Continue Racing In Aust

Monday, 25th June 2012

Speaking at Black Caviar's Newmarket base of Abington Place Stables on the morning after the race, trainer Peter Moody confirmed: "I have had my vets & chiropractors take some precautionary x-rays of Black Caviar this morning. They have come back fine, but she has some soft tissue damage. I think it is called the quadricep muscle where the main problem is & she is quite sore behind. She'll now spend 4 weeks in quarantine & then when we get her home we will give her 3 months off & get her ready for the Spring Carnival in Melbourne in November. She will be prepared for another crack at the Gr1 Patinack Farm Classic at Flemington, which she has won for the past 2 years."
