Zo Impressive Wins US Gr1 Mother Goose Stakes

In the US, Gr1-winning shuttler & 2007 Gr1 Kentucky Derby runner-up Hard Spun (Danzig-Turkish Tryst, by Turkoman) recorded a Gr1 triumph when Live Oak Plantation's home-bred daughter Zo Impressive (Hard Spun-Zoftig, by Cozzene) scored a 0.75-length victory in the US$300,000 Gr1 Mother Goose Stakes (8.5 furlongs) for 3YO fillies at Belmont Park in New York (see VIDEO CORNER bottom right of home page). Zo Impressive (ridden by Rajiv Maragh for trainer Thomas Albertrani) defeated Disposablepleasure (Giacomo-My Canada, by With Approval) & Believe You Can (Proud Citizen-El Fasto, by El Prado). Zo Impressive took her record to 3 wins & 2 runners-up (in May's Gr1 Acorn Stakes over 8 furlongs at Belmont Park & Gr2 Gulfstream Oaks over 9 furlongs at Gulfstream Park) from 5 starts for US$349,800 earnings.
