Tuesday, 26th June 2012

Also in Italy, triple European Gr1-winning shuttler Oratorio (Danehill-Mahrah, by Vaguely Noble) added a black-type success when UK-bred 5YO mare Wedding Fair (Oratorio-Theatrical Act, by Theatrical) scored a half-length victory in the €41,800 (A$54,000) Listed Premio Paolo Mezzanotte (2200m) for mares 4YO & up at San Siro. Wedding Fair (ridden by Fabio Branca for trainer Stefano Botti) defeated German-bred 4YO mares Global Magic (Lando-Goonda, by Darshaan) & Leopardin (Areion-Lolli Pop, by Cagliostro). Wedding Fair took her record to 9 wins (also including 2010's Listed Premio Andred over 2200m at Pisa) & 5 placings (including 2011's Listed Premio Buontalenta over 2000m at the Capannelle) from 21 starts for €131,438 (A$168,000) earnings.
