Pierro Returns To Begin Spring Campaign

Tuesday, 26th June 2012

Gai Waterhouse's triple Gr1-winning unbeaten 2YO colt Pierro (Lonhro-Miss Right Note, by Daylami) "the brightest young talent in Australian racing, returned to Tulloch Lodge yesterday to prepare for his spring campaign" reported The Telegraph. Pierro (a $230,000 yearling consigned by Musk Creek Farm at the 2011 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale) "has been touted as a possible Gr1 Cox Plate contender after his whirlwind juvenile season which resulted in Gr1 victories in the Golden Slipper (1200m), Inglis Sires' Produce (1400m) & Champagne Stakes (1600m)". A stud deal "is yet to be secured for Pierro, who breeding experts believe could be worth upwards of $20 million as a stallion".
