1st Winner For US Freshman Sire Lewis Michael

US multiple Gr2-winning & multiple track record-setting 9YO freshman stallion Lewis Michael (Rahy-Justenuffheart, by Broad Brush) recorded his 1st winner when front-running 2YO filly Fab Flowers (Lewis Michael-J.D.Flowers, by Dixieland Band) scored on debut over 4.5 furlongs at Arlington Park in Chicago for trainer Joel Berndt. Fab Flowers is a half-sister to multiple Gr1-winner Exotic Wood. Her sire Lewis Michael (whose multiple stakes-winning dam Justenuffheart is a half-sister to both champion & prominent sire Kitten's Joy, plus Gr1 winner Precious Kitten) stands for US$3,000 at Three Chimneys Farm in Kentucky & has 33 foals in his 1st-crop. On the track Lewis Michael (a full-brother to 2006 champion 2YO filly Dreaming Of Anna & a half-brother to multiple Gr2-winner Justenuffhumor) recorded 7 wins (including both the Gr2 Pat O'Brien Handicap over 7 furlongs & Gr2 Washington Park Handicap over 9.5 furlongs in track record time, plus the Listed Grand Canyon Handicap) & 8 placings from 23 starts for US$811,714 earnings.
