UK Gazeley Stud Takes Over Wyck Hall Stud

Friday, 29th June 2012

UK Gazeley Stud "has taken over the running of another famous Newmarket operation in Wyck Hall Stud" reported racingpost.com. David & Debi Curran bought Gazeley Stud (famed as the base of Lilly Langtry's mares) in 2008 & an "expansion of the business - which includes breaking, pre-training & sales consignment - has meant further space is needed". Wyck Hall Stud was established in the 1920s & is "best known as the base of Sir Robin McAlpine's breeding operation, from where he produced his home-bred Gr1 English Oaks winner Circus Plume & Gr1 Melbourne Cup winner Jeune".
