Canadian HOTY Benburb Dies

Grey gelding Benburb (Dr Carter–Rosedon by Vice Regent), crowned Canada's Horse of the Year in 1992, has died at Old Friends racehorse retirement farm in Georgetown, Kentucky, reported bloodhorse.com. Owned by Steve Stavro's Knob Hill Stables, Benburb won the Prince of Wales Stakes and the Molson Export Million (beating US Horse of the Year AP Indy) among his 7 wins for earnings of US$1,159,949.
