Irish Mission Wins Canada Gr1 Breeders' Stakes

Wednesday, 8th August 2012

At Woodbine in Canada, former shuttler Giant's Causeway (Storm Cat-Mariah's Storm, by Rahy) celebrated a Gr1 triumph when Irish-bred 3YO daughter Irish Mission (Giant's Causeway-Misty Mission, by Miswaki)) scored by 0.5-length for trainer Mark Frostad over 3YO colt Aldous Snow (Theatrical-Brave Destiny, by Quiet American) & 3YO gelding Quaesitor (Friends Lake-Questary, by Archers Bay) in the C$500,000 Gr1 Breeders' Stakes (10 furlongs). After winning the 3rd leg of the Canadian Triple Crown for 3YOs and taking her record to 2 wins & a runner-up from 5 starts, Irish Mission's trainer Mark Frostad stated: "I don't think you've seen the best of this filly. I think as a 4 and 5YO, she could be any kind of horse."
