Big Red Farm Welcomes I'll Have Another

Thursday, 9th August 2012

Japan's Big Red Farm has announced the arrival of "dual classic winner I'll Have Another" where he will commence stud duties in 2013, reports thoroughbredtimes.com. I'll Have Another (Flower Alley-Arch's Gal Edith, by Arch) won the Gr1 Kentucky Derby and Gr1 Preakness Stakes but succumbed to "a minor tendon injury" prior to the Belmont Stakes "ending his bid to become the first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978. He concluded his career with 5 wins from 7 starts and earnings of [US]$2,693,600." Big Red Farm Principle Shigeyuki Okada secured the ownership of I'll Have Another soon after his retirement from racing. He joins a stallion roster of 11 headed by 2005 Gr1 Dubai World Cup winner Roses In May & dual Gr1 Breeders' Cup Turf winner Conduit on the Hokkaido Island farm.
