Victorian Trainer 3-Months Ban For "Milkshaking"

Thursday, 9th August 2012

Trainer Anthony Chibnall has been given a 3 month training ban following his runner Blaze It Up showing an elevated level of TCO2 in a pre-race blood sample before the Caulfield Printhouse Handicap (1,000m).  Chibnall pleaded not guilty to administering or causing a banned substance to be administered to Blaze It Up, but guilty to a breach of Rules AR178 and AR64G. The Victoria Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board found him guilty of the first charge and disqualified the trainer for three months.  Blaze It Up, who ran last in the field of 15, was disqualified from that start.
