Camelot To Have Leopardstown Gallop Today

Thursday, 16th August 2012

While most thoroughbred aficionados are waiting for Frankel's appointment at York next week, trainer Aidan O'Brien is continuing his preparation for star 3YO colt Camelot's tilt at Doncaster's St. Leger next month where victory will see him become the first horse to win England's Triple Crown for 3YOs since the mighty Nijinsky 42 years ago. According to the-racehorse.com, Camelot will be given a gallop on the course proper prior to today's race meeting at Leopardstown. "We are delighted that the Irish racing public will have the opportunity to see Camelot before he runs in the St Leger at Doncaster," said O'Brien. "We would like to thank the clerk of the course, the stewards of the Turf Club and everyone at Leopardstown for allowing it to happen."
