Galileo Adds UK Black Type

Overnight in the UK, former shuttler & Gr1 English Derby winner Galileo (Sadler's Wells-Urban Sea, by Miswaki) added a black-type success when 5YO mare Opera Gal (Galileo-Opera Glass, by Barathea) scored by 2.25-lengths for trainer Andrew Balding over 3YO filly Oojooba (Monsun-Ameerat, by Mark Of Esteem) & 4YO mare Rumh (Monsun-Royal Dubai, by Dashing Blade) in the 42,000 Guineas Listed Upavon Fillies Stakes (10 furlongs) at Salisbury. Now a dual stakes-winner, Opera Gal took her record to 4 wins & 9 placings from 22 starts. She finished runner-up in this race last year.
