Monday, 20th August 2012

In Sydney, Gr1-winning & dual Gr1-placed Arrowfield Stud stallion Snitzel (Redoute's Choice-Snippets' Lass, by Snippets) added a group success when his daughter Snitzerland (Snitzel-Monte Rosa, by Fraar) made every post a winner to score by 1.75-lengths for trainer Gerald Ryan over fellow filly Driefontein (Fastnet Rock-Follow Gold, by Export Price) & favoured colt All Too Hard (Casino Prince-Helsinge, by Desert Sun) in the $123,300 Gr3 San Domenico Stakes (1100m) for 3YOs at Rosehill Gardens. Runner-up in last season's Gr1 STC Golden Slipper Stakes, Snitzerland (a $125,000 yearling consigned by Bellerive Stud at the 2011 Inglis Premier Sale in Melbourne) took her record to 3 wins & 2 runners-up from 6 starts for $950,300 earnings. Last week, trainer Gerald Ryan confirmed that Snitzerland will now head to Melbourne to concentrate on the Spring Carnival's sprinting features.
