Valuable Darley-Sired Juveniles Score
Darley is celebrating the success of two expensive juvenile fillies at Saratoga sired by their stallions. Violence (Medaglia d'Oro-Violent Beauty, by Gone West) won on debut at Saratoga (7 furlongs) although racing greenly. A US$600,000 Keeneland September yearling graduate, Violence is a grand daughter of impeccably-bred Sky Beauty whose 15 wins & 4 placings from 21 starts included Gr1 victories in no less than 9 races. Equally impressive was the second-up victory for the Todd Pltecher-trained filly Kimono (Bernardini-Runnin Ute, by Gone West). Owned by one of the world's most successful triumvirates in John Magnier, Michael Tabor & Derrick Smith, Kimono was a US$550,000 Fasig-Tipton February 2YO; her Gone West dam is from a highly successful US black-type family.
