Juddmonte Celebrates Exceptional 48-Hours

Thursday, 23rd August 2012

Khalid Abdullah's Juddmonte Farms celebrated an exceptional 48 hours at York yesterday. While Frankel's full-brother Noble Mission just failed to make the placings in the Gr2 Great Voltigeur Stakes (10 furlongs), home-bred 2YO colt Dundonnell (First Defense-Family, by Danzig) won York's Gr2 Acomb Stakes (7 furlongs) to add to filly Romantica's win in the €130,000 Gr2 Prix de la Nonette (2000m) at Deauville earlier in the week. To say Dundonell has a stallion's pedigree would be a massive understatement. By US Gr1 Forego Stakes winner First Defense (Unbridled's Song), his unraced dam Family is a full-sister to breed-shaper Danehill. Dundonnell took his record to 2 wins from 3 starts.
