Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber Homebred Chases Gr1 Double

Promising 3YO filly The Fugue (Dansili–Twyla Tharp, by Sadler's Wells) is chasing her second Gr1 victory when she tackles the Yorkshire Oaks this weekend. A home-bred for Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber and a last start winner in the Gr1 Nassau Stakes at Goodwood, The Fugue is one of four 3YO fillies in the field that is also open to 4YO mares. Millionaire yearling and Gr1 Epsom Oaks winner Was (Galileo–Alluring Park, by Green Desert) is expected to provide stiff competition,  while The Aga Khan's Shareta (Sinndar–Shawara, by Barathea) has been knocking on some big doors this season including runners-up in both the Gr1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and in her last outing in the Gr1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud.
