Leading UK Jockey's Title Chase Over

Friday, 24th August 2012

Ryan Moore, current leader on the UK Jockey's premiership, has had his hopes of a fourth title dashed in a fall on Tuesday evening reports the-racehorse.com. Moore said, "When I rode Cross My Heart in the earlier five-furlong maiden, she was not as balanced as she should have been and was very uneasy on the track and I said to Dane (O'Neill) and Adrian (Nicholls) after the race that I didn't think the bend was going to ride too clever later on." He added: "In my opinion, the problem was that the grass was far too long and lush, and that can always cause problems. And when I went into the bend on Cresta Star I was never balanced. I had hold of her head but when the favourite came round, I got a bit tight and she lost her back end and slipped... But I landed on my left wrist. I got up straight away but the damage was done... What really annoys me is that I think it was avoidable."
