At Ripon in the UK, dual Gr1-winning former shuttler Holy Roman Emperor (Danehill-L'On Vite, by Secretariat) added a black-type success when the colt Deauville Prince (Holy Roman Emperor-Queen of Deauvilly, by Diableneyev) scored by 1.25-lengths for trainer Tom Dascombe over the filly Melody Of Love (Haafhd-Tamzin, by Hernando) & fellow colt Botanic Garden (Royal Applause-Rock Lily, by Rock of Gibraltar) in the Listed Champion 2YO Trophy (1200m) for juveniles. The first foal for his dam, Deauville Prince took his record to 2 wins and a runner-up from 5 starts.
