Future In Doubt For Fastnet Rock Gr1 Mare
A question mark hangs over the racing future of dual Gr1-winning 4YO mare Sea Siren (Fastnet Rock-Express A Smile, by Success Express) after reports by couriermail.com.au that the John O'Shea-trained galloper is the subject of a purchase offer. Following her trial yesterday, O'Shea noted: "I'm not sure what is happening at this stage but all I can do is press on and continue training her as normal... I received a text from one of her owners early this morning (yesterday) saying that an offer has been made, a significant offer. They want a couple of days to consider it before deciding her future."Back-to-back winner in the winter of the Gr1 Doomben 10,000 & Gr1 BTC Cup, Sea Siren – one of the leading fancies for the Gr1 Manikato Stakes – currently boasts 5 wins & 2 placings from 8 starts for $883,330 earnings.
