Mott Plans Major Attack On BC Classic

Also in the US, legendary trainer Bill Mott has announced a four-pronged attack "will be pointed to the 2012 Breeders' Cup world Championships" (Nov 3) following a successful and injury-free Super Saturday, reports bloodhorse.com. Targeting the Gr1 Breeders' Cup Classic will be Gr2 Kelso Handicap 4th To Honour and Serve (Bernardini-Pilfer, by Deputy Minister), Gold Cup 6th Ron the Greek (Full Mandate-Flambe, by Fortunate Prospect) and Gold Cup winner Flat Out (Flatter-Cresta Lil, by Cresta Rider). Champion 3YO filly and triple Gr1 winner Royal Delta (Empire Maker-Delta Princess, by A.P. Indy) will shoot for back-to-back victories in the Ladies' Classic (Nov 2) following a 9.5-lengths demolition of her rivals in the Gr1 Beldame Stakes. In response to having a trio of chances in the Gr1 Breeders' Cup Classic Mott quipped, "It's hard enough to get [just] one..."
