Kung Fu Mambo Wins Peru Gr1 Clásico Ricardo Ortiz de Zevallos

At Monterrico, former shuttler Giant's Causeway (Storm Cat-Mariah's Storm, by Rahy) added a Gr1 success when Argentine-bred colt Kung Fu Mambo (Giant's Causeway–Sweet City Gal, by Kingmambo) scored by a massive 9-lengths for trainer Adolfo Morales in the Gr1 Clásico Ricardo Ortiz de Zevallos (2000m) for 3YO colts, over fellow colts Mr. Bond (Flanders Fields–Heredable, by Acceptable) & Teahupoo (Farallon P.–Starfleet, by Stallion). Runner-up in the Gr1 Clásico Polla de Potrillos, first leg of Peru's 3YO Quadruple Crown, Kung Fu Mambo took his record to 2 wins & 3 placings from 5 starts. Kung Fu Mambo is now a hot favourite to win the remaining leg, the Gr1 Derby Nacional on November 4.
