Claiborne Announces 2013 Fees

The sire of three Gr1 winners in his first crop, Gr2 winner War Front (Danzig-Starry Dreamer, by Rubiano) heads the lineup at Claiborne in Kentucky for 2013 with a jump of US$20,000 to US$80,000. He currently ranks fifth of this year's third crop sires list by progeny earnings. Stallion director Bernie Sams told bloodhorse.com: "Claiborne is committed to setting realistic stud fees and to capping the number of mares bred." With all fees 'stands and nurses',Claiborne's 2013 stud fees (and the 2012 fees) are as follows:

  • Eddington US$5,000 (US$5,000)
  • First Samurai US$10,000 (US$15,000)
  • Flatter US$20,000 (US$15,000)
