At Caulfield, Gr1-winning Arrowfield Stud stallion Charge Forward (Red Ransom-Sydney's Dream, by Bletchingly) added a group success when the filly Cavalry Rose (Charge Forward–Alberton Rose, by Danske) scored by a head for trainer Gerald Ryan in the $150,000 Gr3 Thoroughbred Club Stakes (1200m) for 3YO fillies, over fellow fillies Mareeza (Freeze–Marienkirche, by Fasliyev) & Saturn Rock (Fastnet Rock–Satin Robes, by Ne Coupez Pas). Placed 8th in this year's Gr1 Golden Slipper Stakes following her runner-up in the Gr2 Magic Night Stakes, Cavalry Rose (an $85,000 yearling consigned by Widden Stud at the 2011 Inglis Classic Sale in Sydney) took her record to 4 wins & a runner-up from 8 starts for $431,000 earnings.
