Joshua Tree Wins Canada Gr1 Canadian International

The third Gr1 event on Canada's quality Woodbine card on Sunday was taken out by 5YO entire Joshua Tree (Montjeu–Madeira Mist, by Grand Lodge) who scored by 0.5-lengths for trainer Marco Botti (who saddles-up Gr1 winner Jakkalberry in Saturday's Gr1 Caulfield Cup) in the US$1.5 million Gr1 Canadian International (12 furlongs) over fellow 5YO horse Dandino (Dansino–Generous Diana, by Generous) & 6YO gelding Forte Dei Marmi (Selkirk–Frangy, by Sadler's Wells). Reclaiming the title he won in 2010, Joshua Tree took his record to 6 wins (including 2010's Gr1 Canadian International Stakes & the Gr2 Prix Kergolay) and 9 placings (including 2011's Gr1 Canadian International Stakes & Gr1 Grosser Preis von Baden) from 24 starts.
