A durable Gr2 winner, Musketier raced for eight seasons in three nations and amassed 11 victories in 50 starts with respective US and European earnings of US$880,743 and €198,670.  He won the Gr2 Keeneland Elkhorn Stakes twice, the Gr3 Singspiel Stakes 3 times, the Gr2 Calder WL McKnight Handicap and the Gr3 Prix de Conde at Longchamp as well as being Gr1 placed in the Man O' War Stakes at Belmont. Trainer Roger Attfield praised him, "He was a true competitor ... Few horses over the years have been as tough and sound as Musketier. He was a pleasure to train and as consistent as they come."
