Thursday, 25th October 2012

On Day 2 of the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October Sale the wave of confidence ridden by buyers on Day 1 continued unabated with 297 horses sold for an impressive US$7,968,900 gross. The average remained healthy at US$26,831 (up 7.2% on 2011) while the median grew by a hefty 16.7% (US$14,000) with the buy-back rate sitting at 18.6%, reports bloodhorse.com. Fasig-Tipton President Boyd Browning commented: "It was another solid session, very strong with very good trade at virtually all levels ... Obviously, there is strength at the top of the market, but the middle market is very active. It has just been a really good horse sale."
