My Boy Is Charlie Hot At Arqana
In related Arqana news, Gr1-winning 2007 French Champion Juvenile and Vinery Stud stallion Myboycharlie (Danetime-Dulceata, by Rousillon) continues to shine at the northern hemisphere sales with demand for his yearlings "incredibly strong", reports breednet.com. Myboycharlie was represented by five yearlings on Day 1 of the Arqana October Yearling Sale, all of which were subject to "spirited bidding competition", selling for an average price of €52,400 (A$66,277) and a median figure of €57,000 (approximately $72,095). Vinery's Adam White enthused: "The common scenario between what happened here in Australia and in the northern hemisphere is that the Myboycharlie yearlings have almost a perfect clearance rate and they are averaging many, many times his service fee ... At his first sale he averaged about eight and half times service fee at the Magic Millions Jan (10 offered, 10 sold) and it's been a consistent result since with nine times service fee recorded at Deauville where five were offered and all sold."
