Tuesday, 6th November 2012

In Italy, triple Gr1-winning former Darley shuttler Dubawi (Dubai Millennium-Zomaradah, by Deploy) added a Gr1 success when 4YO entire Hunter's Light (Dubawi- Portmanteau, by Barathea) scored a 2-lengths victory for Godolphin trainer Saeed bin Suroor in the Gr1 Premio Roma (10 furlongs) on turf, over German-bred 3YO colt Feuerblitz (Big Shuffle–Flamingo Island, by Acatenango) & 5YO entire Occhio Della Mente (Le Vie Dei Colori–Croanda, by Grand Lodge). Well travelled Hunter's Light was the winner of the Gr3 Rose Of Lancaster Stakes four starts ago before scoring in the Listed Istanbul Anatolia Trophy & finishing runner-up in Longchamp's Gr2 Prix Dollar last month. He now has 7 wins & 4 placings from 15 starts and Godolphin representative Diana Cooper told thoroughbreddailynews, "There is a possibility Hunter's Light could go to Hong Kong next month for the international meeting at Sha Tin, and he will remain in training next year."
