Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale All Set
Victoria's Inglis Melbourne Premier (March 3,4,5 & 6), starts on Sunday at 2pm; 775 yearlings have been catalogued over 4 days of trade. Siblings to recent stakes winners include a half-brother to Gr2 Autumn Stakes winner Super Cool (by Stratum), a half-sister to Listed Triscay Stakes winner She's Clean (by Flying Spur), a half-sister to Listed Strutt Stakes winner Green Roller (by High Chaparral), as well as a half-sister to the Peter Moody-trained Gr1 winner and recent Gr1 Lightning Stakes runner-up Moment of Change (by Blackfriars). All told, progeny from 93 stakes-winning dams and 97 full or half relations to stakes winners will be offered. Day-2 of the Premier Sale will also incorporate a specially badged "Blue Riband Session" featuring 50 yearlings selected on pedigree and type as potential runners in future classic races, as well as, of course, Australasia's lucrative Cups circuit. Inglis Melbourne Director Peter Heagney commented, "I've always been a big proponent on measuring the success of a sale by the racehorse it produces and with names such as Black Caviar, Igugu, Ortensia, Sacred Kingdom, Field's Of Omagh, Weekend Hussler and Starspangledbanner on its honour roll the Melbourne Premier Sale is certainly delivering results for buyers."
