Inglis Melb Premier Day-1: $250,000 Teofilo Colt

Monday, 4th March 2013

One of the most spruiked yearlings of this year's Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale was Tyreel Stud's Lot 43. By Darley's star 2YO Teofilo (Galileo-Speirbhean, by Danehill), the colt duly sold for Day-1's highest price when attracting a final bid of $250,000 by Victorian trainer Mick Kent. Out of Fastnet Rock mare San Cristobel (dam of recent Melbourne winning juvenile Donna Madeira), the colt's Gr1-placed 2nd dam Galapagos Girl is a half-sister to the dam's of Gr1 winners Laisserfaire & Lone Rock. The sale assisted Tyreel Stud to finish Day-1 as the leading vendor with 3 yearlings sold for $520,000.
