Inglis Melb Premier Day-2: $450,000 Fastnet Rock Colt

A colt by reigning champion Australian sire Fastnet Rock brought the highest price on Day-2 when sold out of the Esker Lodge (NZ) draft for $450,000. The final bid fell to Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock / McKeever Bloodstock. Lot 261, the colt is the first foal of multiple Gr2-winning Stravinsky mare Bird Of Fire, whose half-sister Abeautifulred finished runner-up in the Gr1 New Zealand One Thousand Guineas. Fastnet Rock also had the 2nd highest seller courtesy of the colt out of Arborea purchased by Lindsay Park Bloodstock.
