South America Gets Sire Prospect Back

Thursday, 7th March 2013

After standing his first two seasons at stud at California's Magali Farms, Gr1-winning, multiple stakes victor Global Hunter (Jade Hunter-Griffe de Paris, by Telescopico) will return to his Argentine birthplace after being purchased by a syndicate of South American breeders, reports thoroughbredinternet.com. The consortium includes breeder Haras La Providencia, and the 9YO stallion will recommence his stud career at Haras Chenaut this season. Rafael Dellacasa, a principal shareholder, was glowing in his praise for Global Hunter and commented, "If I had to summarize Global Hunter, I have to say that in my opinion he is what every breeder looks for, something very hard to obtain, because he has the conformation, race record, and pedigree that a great stallion prospect must have… Like few special others, he had a very productive racing campaign here in Argentina as in the United States."
