Friday, 8th March 2013

Regally bred Allandale Park Thoroughbreds stallion Diogenes (Marscay-Klairessence, by Sir Tristram) sired his 1st stakes-winner on Wednesday when 5YO gelding Tokamak (Diogenes-Table Dance, by Umatilla) scored a decisive 2.5-lengths victory for trainer Barry Lockwood over fellow 5YO gelding I'llbetricked (Hidden Dragon-Hallelujah, by Twig Moss) & 7YO gelding Rock Home Late (Rock of Gibraltar-Mary McGlinchy, by Pleasant Colony) in the $81,5000 Listed Tattersall's Members' Cup (1600m) for 2YO+ at Eagle Farm. Having won his first 4 career starts, and now his past 3 outings, Tokamak descends from the family of Gr1 Adelaide Cup winner Bohemiath (by Umatilla) and took his record to 7 wins and 6 placings from 19 starts for earnings of $180,100.
