Hill 'n' Dale To Stand Violence

Monday, 11th March 2013

Recently retired rising US 3YO star colt Violence (Medaglia D'oro–Violent Beauty, by Gone West) has been sent to Kentucky's Hill 'n' Dale Stud, however it will be almost a year before breeders will be able to send a mare to the sophomore. According to bloodhorse.com, Hill 'n' Dale principal John G. Sikura observed, "The injury is fine, but it's March, and by the time we test breed him and EVA vaccinate him he won't be able to start breeding until April. He's breeding sound, but we won't stand him until next year." A US$600,000 Keeneland September yearling graduate, Violence's 4 race starts netted 3 wins (including the Gr1 CashCall Futurity & Gr3 Nashua Stakes) plus a runner-up in the Gr2 Fountain of Youth Stakes despite his career-ending injury.
