Moreish Wins Listed Ascot One Thousand Guineas

In the last of Ascot's weekend stakes races, Vinery Stud shuttler & former Australian Champion 2YO Sire More Than Ready (Southern Halo-Woodman's Girl, by Woodman) added a black-type success when the filly Moreish (More Than Ready-Pink City, by Danehill) scored an upset 0.2-length victory (and Saturday stakes double for trainer Sharon Miller) in the $80,200 Listed Ascot One Thousand Guineas (1800m) for 3YO fillies, over fellow fillies Antique Belle (Redoute's Choice-Antique, by Metal Storm) & Kim China (Dylan Thomas-Kim Angel, by Serheed). A $35,000 buy at the 2001 Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale from the draft of Baramul Stud, Moreish took her record to 2 wins & 8 placings from 15 starts for $73,924 earnings.
